Midnight Imaginarium: A Steampunk Party of Polar Delights

Travel to an alternate realm where steam and mechanics rule and technology of our day is but a figment of your imagination. Steampunk, a design style that combines historical elements with anachronistic technological features, is the inspiration for this inventive night out. 

Embrace the steampunk lifestyle during an evening of pop-up events and activities throughout the museum. Adorn your own steampunk accessories in an Art Lab makerspace, interact with living statues and magicians, try your hand at an old-timey tea duel, sip magical elixirs while enjoying live music and dancing to electro-swing djs.Take home fun memories with photobooth printouts and photography stations.  Costumes both welcome and encouraged.  

Midnight Imaginarium also revels in the opening of The Art of Fandom exhibit, which highlights the fanatical power of anime, manga and Japanese-inspired culture, comic books and graphic novels, literature and television fandom, furry fandom, music and real-person fandom. Become a fan of this cosplay event with a costumed tour. Light appetizers and steampunk accessories provided at the onset of the event. Cash bars inside the museum open throughout the evening. $25 museum members, $30 general admission. 21+
