StoryWorks Essay Writing Workshop

The Anchorage Museum and Story Works Alaska are offering a free essay-writing workshop: PERSPECTIVE, PERSEVERANCE, AND THE ADMISSION ESSAY. This three-part workshop is designed for current high school seniors working on personal statements for college applications. Instructors will focus on Common Application essay prompts and techniques, but motivated participants may work on other prompts as well. While sessions will include time for guided writing exercises and essay development, participants will be expected to complete some writing outside of class.This workshop will guide participants through preparing and revising a successful college admission essay. Each essay will receive individualized feedback and participants will have the opportunity to work through revisions with support.
