Launch Alaska: Innovating in Aftershocks—Creating & implementing real-world solutions when they matter most
9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, May 3
Anchorage Museum Atrium, Art Lab and Reynolds Room
Aftershocks still making you jump? Us too. But we think there’s an upside to the tremors, beyond serving as a nerve-wracking substitute for afternoon caffeine. Each jolt poses an important question—“How ready are we for the next disaster?” Whether earthquake, eruption, fire, flood, or something more man-made, major disruptions to Alaska’s infrastructure and systems could happen at any moment.
Launch Alaska is taking over Friday of the conference to focus on Innovating in Aftershocks— Creating & implementing real-world solutions when they matter most. We’ll explore how we can avert disasters, and what it will take to survive and thrive when things really fall apart.
This event is a fully-participatory day of isolating problems and innovating solutions to Alaska’s unique and dynamic problem sets. We’re bringing together stakeholders and solution makers to explore our communities’ vulnerabilities and challenges, working together to find real, ready-now solutions that make us more resilient, sustainable, and secure.
When the next tremor hits, be sure to join us on May 3rd to convert that Fight or Flight adrenaline into some Strategize & Solve energy to implement real solutions for stronger, safer Alaska.
