Create It: Art of the North at Home

Monday July 12

10:00 AM  –  11:00 AM

Engage your inner artist as you create works of art inspired by Alaska and the North. Learn about the elements of art through the museum collection and hands-on art projects to broaden your artistic skills and techniques. Play with new materials, create textured fiber weavings, experiment with paper crafts, go on a neighborhood art scavenger hunt and make your own travel-sized art kit for creating on the go. Anchorage Museum Summer Camps at Home combine curated kits with quality educator-led instruction to create a virtual camp experience like no other. We empower young learners to create and experiment with materials and approaches with expert support. Some adult assistance necessary, especially for younger learners. Includes kit with all supplies needed. Meet daily on Zoom for warm up games and go over activities for the day ahead.
