Selected date

Saturday September 15

Selected time

4:00 PM  –  5:00 PM

Jonathon Keats discusses his research into domes and visionary architecture, exploring how we could be changing the world. Keats discusses the work of Paolo Soleri, Buckminster Fuller and Otto Frei, and his project to develop an approach urban planning using a process he calls paleobiomimicry – the idea is that future environmental conditions are likely to be hostile to life, much as the environment was harsh when life first appeared on Earth. Keats suggests we can build future cities to be more resilient by taking inspiration from stromatolites, microbial communities that can be viewed as the world's first cities. Free.
